Singapore firms eye opportunities in Indonesia's Batam, Bintan and Karimun islands

Singapore firms are eyeing opportunities in Indonesia's Batam, Bintan and Karimun islands to scale up capabilities in areas such as advanced manufacturing and green energy. At a business forum, Singapore's Economic Development Board said tapping resources from both sides will go beyond keeping supply chains resilient. In the first half of 2025, Singapore's total foreign direct investment into Batam amounted to about S$632 million.
